Open Letter On Behalf Of Michael Jackson Fans in Support of MJ Estate

Open Letter On Behalf Of Michael Jackson Fans in Support of MJ Estate

Michael Jackson's fan base is aware of derogatory statements made by certain members of the Jackson family, against the executors of his Estate. We are shocked and saddened that propaganda, rather than seeking avenues to address their concerns legally, have been used to gain sympathy. While we most certainly support the beneficiaries of Jackson's Estate, Katherine Jackson and Michael's children, we equally support the executors, Mr. John Branca and Mr. John McClain.

Jackson's fans understand that the task both Branca and McClain took on when Michael died was staggering. Weighted in nearly $400 million in debt, with an overwhelming amount of pending lawsuits, the Executors took the reins of the Estate and went to work.

Posthumously, the Executors have ensured the highest grossing music documentary of all time, This Is It, two successful albums, the number one tour in North America, Cirque du Soleil's IMMORTAL, sold millions of Michael Jackson The Experience video games, and are planning a huge release for the 25th anniversary of Jackson's legendary Bad album. Although every fan does not agree with all decisions the Estate has made, we agree that overall, the Estate has done well in preserving Michael's legacy. In addition, we agree with the Estate, that "false and defamatory accusations grounded in stale Internet conspiracy" do nothing to promote the positive ethic Michael Jackson espoused while alive.

In three years, Jackson's Estate is thriving, nearly debt free and Michael Jackson's music is still at the forefront of the music industry. We wholeheartedly support Michael Jackson's final wishes; that he trusted both John Branca and John McClain to continue his message through his music. The Michael Jackson fan base thanks the Executors for continuing to do just that, with grace and dignity.

Sincerely,

Giving a Childhood of L.O.V.E-American Vitiligo Research Foundation

As you all know Michael suffered from this terrible disease his entire adult life and it caused him much heartache, pain and distress - not to mention the ridicule he put up with from both the media, and some of the public...We have the opportunity to help others with this disease now by donating to The American Vitiligo Research Foundation.

Your donation will be helping Children, Teens, and Young Adults afflicted with this disease Worldwide..and do no harm to animals in the research that is done......The Foundation has no other means of support - other than the kindness of you, the public, and a very special public you are - Fans of Michael Jackson.....There is no corporate funding to help these children.

I honestly believe that Michael would really appreciate our help with this Foundation - his son Prince now suffers from the same disease.

Please open your hearts to help those afflicted.

A letter from the President of AVRF:

The AVRF is a 501©(3) federally tax exempt charity based in Clearwater, FL. We are a humane charity that does not sponsor any research using animals. We focus on children living with Vitiligo, since they are the most vulnerable. Vitiligo does not kill the body, but it truly destroys one’s spirit. Many Vitiligo sufferers do not leave their homes due to public ridicule, pointing, staring and many nasty remarks. I have lived with Vitiligo for over 40 years of my life. I was 22 years old when I first was diagnosed, so I know firsthand what one goes through with this disfiguring skin disorder.

Many people do not want to support awareness or research since they
believe that there are more serious diseases that take lives. I agree
that Vitiligo is not life threatening but it is life altering sometimes to
the point of those afflicted committing suicide. I myself did
contemplate suicide, but I thank God that I put all of my energy to help others living with this skin disorder.

We are a very small charity. I work out of my home, but we have been to Nairobi, Kenya and purchased a treatment machine forKenyatta National Hospital because in Kenya and in other countries in Africa the uneducated public believes that Vitiligo is one of the following: a curse, aids, or cancer. One of the male nurses at Kenyatta National Hospital told me that his uncle hung himself, because people shunned him so much that he could not go on living. A parent of a biracial child emailed me that her doctor told her that her child was 2 colors due to her parents, one being black and the other being white. I could go on and on for a few hours sharing some of the horror stories I hear on a weekly basis, but I believe if we are chosen to be the charity of your choice, then it will happen. I will have our Webmaster create a special Pay Pal just for your group’s donations, if you choose the AVRF as your charity to support. We create a children’s “Embracing Diversity” calendar each year with 12 different children affected by Vitiligo. Each child and their parent write a little about themselves and this helps anyone who reads the calendar to learn about this devastating disease. I believe awareness is the first step for acceptance.

Wishing all of you a happy, healthy and prosperous life.

Thank you on behalf of the millions of children worldwide living with Vitiligo.

Sincerely,
Stella Pavlides
President

Giving a Childhood of L.O.V.E-St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Michael once told us, we are the world, we are the children and in order to heal our world, we must care enough for the living. That's why in order to honor our beloved Michael for his birthday, we've included St. Jude among our charities to support.

Childhood can be hard enough, but imagine that childhood riddled with disease and illness. Its heartbreaking what many children thru at a very young age, but imagine the difference that could be made if we raised our voice as one and gave these children the hope of a childhood that's more filled with L.O.V.E than the diseases that ale them.

St. Jude Mission Statement

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.

One Rose for Michael J. Jackson has set up a tribute page thru St. Jude to raise donations in Michael's name and memory. If you'd like to donate to St. Jude in honor of Michae's birthday, please click the image below.

Giving a Childhood of L.O.V.E-UNICEF Immunizations

In 2011, One Rose for Michael J. Jackson's members had raised over $10,000 for children to be immunized under the former group's name, One Rose for Michael Jackson. This year, as a reformed group, we would like to attempt to provide 5,400 children with the vaccines they were robbed of last year in honor of Michael's 54th birthday.

With UNICEF's assistance, we have set up a team page for the purchase of measles, polio, and tetanus vaccines. It will cost 80cents to immunize one child against measles, polio, and tetanus. The total cost to immunize 5,400 children against these childhood diseases is $4,320 so we've placed our team page's goal at $5,000. All contributions are direct to UNICEF.

About UNICEF's Immunizations:

Measles Vaccines
"Measles causes a debilitating attack on the immune system of a child with the risk of permanent physical and mental disability and claims the lives of hundreds and thousands of children annually. The measles vaccine is a simple and effective solution to stop this disease."
Polio Vaccines
"Polio is a highly infectious viral disease, mainly affecting young children. It is transmitted through contaminated food and water, and multiplies in the intestine, from where it can invade the nervous system. Many infected people have no symptoms, but can still transmit the infection to others."
Tetanus Vaccines
"In many countries, babies are delivered in challenging and unhygienic circumstances, putting mothers and their newborns at risk for a variety of life-threatening infections. Maternal and neonatal tetanus is among the most common lethal consequences. But maternal and neonatal tetanus deaths can be easily prevented by immunizing mothers with tetanus vaccine."
If you would like to participate and join One Rose for Michael J. Jackson in giving children the chance of a childhood by supporting the purchase of these immunizations in honor of Michael's birthday, please click the image below and make your donation.
