Call To Action: Michael Jackson Fans Worldwide

Make That Change: Honoring the Man in the Mirror

Many Michael Jackson fans have seen the videos, Make the Homeless Smile. The individuals who made the videos are asking people to shun the latest insignificant trending topics. Instead, they ask that individuals create meaningful social experiences, such as making the homeless smile. In the videos, people from all over the world gave food and clothing to the homeless. The anthem for the first video is Hold My Hand as the gentlemen behind the inspiration of Make the Homeless Smile hand out food and clothing to the homeless which is followed up by the second video set to Man in the Mirror as videos from around the world show people ''making the homeless smile' with their generosity.

The video has provided inspiration for many of Michael’s fans. As we all know, helping those less fortunate was a core belief of his. Michael Jackson did not just sing about social issues such as homelessness, poverty and hunger, but he made a difference in countless people’s lives by donating whatever he could to help them.

We believe that there would be no better way to honor Michael, than to make the homeless smile on his birthday, August 29. We are asking that if fans are able, to hit the streets of your area, and personally donate to those living on the street, and record it. These donation videos, from around the world, will then be compiled together to make a video similar to the Make the Homeless Smile video.

Here’s how you can help:

1. Pledge your participation at the Make that Change pledge site
2. Organize a Make that Change team in your hometown
3. Decide on those items you want to hand out. (Personal care items, clothing, food)
4. When donating to the homeless, please make sure to ask permission to film or photograph them. It is imperative that the less fortunate are treated with courtesy and dignity. Remember that this is not about filming, but rather helping the homeless.
5. We understand that everyone is not able to donate due to financial hardship or disability. By posting this to your site, Facebook page, blog, etc., you are helping to spread the word and doing your part to help make that change!

We encourage fans to record or take pictures their experiences and submit the videos to makethatchange4mj@yahoo.com. Let’s all do our part to honor the legacy of the greatest entertainer and humanitarian to ever live, Mr. Michael Jackson.

Please remember this effort is a global Michael Jackson fan effort. We must unite together and make that change to honor the man in the mirror by healing the world!

Open Letter: Tired of the Schemes: Michael Jackson Fans Scream for Justice

A few days ago a British tabloid published a ‘breaking’ headline that stated Michael Jackson allegedly paid at least two dozen boys to keep quiet about abuses they suffered at the hands of Jackson. According to The Sunday People, the source for these incredulous claims are ‘secret FBI files’ exclusively seen by their staff.

These allegations are categorically false. They were published by another tabloid over two decades ago, only to be disproven by a handful of ethical journalists and Jackson’s fans. The “FBI files” are nothing more than a statement made from an ex-employee of Jackson’s, who was proven to sell his stories to the tabloids. In addition, the disgruntled ex-employee embellished his version of events, according to what tabloids were willing to pay. This ex-employee exemplifies the foundation of checkbook journalism in the sordid tabloid world.

We have had enough. Michael Jackson’s fans are no longer willing to ignore the blatant lies willingly and knowingly spread by tabloids and by others who use copy and paste journalism in order to make a profit. It shows lack of journalistic integrity and even worse, serves to underscore poor investigative skills which have run rampant for decades.

We implore the media to restore some degree of integrity and allow us a platform for this truth to be known. If the tabloids continue the salacious campaign against Michael Jackson, his millions of worldwide fans will have no choice but to boycott and contact their advertisers, negatively affecting their bottom line; their profit.

Michael Jackson is survived by his children, family and fans who love him beyond what any words could ever be expressed. Since he is no longer here to defend himelf, Jackson’s fans feel it is up to them to continue to pursue truth and justice for him. We thank you in advance for your time and consideration in this matter.

Signed,
OneRose4MJJ

One Rose for Michael...A Childhood of Hope For Others

As our motto proudly states, one voice, one heart, one love...we are one rose for Michael J. Jackson. Truer words were never spoken as we enter our fourth year of sending a sea of lovely red roses to Michael at Forest Lawn to honor him on the day of his passing.

Fans from around the globe are able to send a small token to say what they would say if we could have the privilege of visiting our fallen idol's place of resting.

"You are missed and you are loved, Michael."

Last year, hearts were put on the line and we were able to send over 10,000 gorgeous, long-stemmed, freedom roses to our beloved, but what few may know is that on June 26th, Michael's legacy was further honored.

The following day, after celebrating Michael's life on June 25th, our wonderful OneRose4MJJ team took several buckets of the roses sent to honor Michael and placed them in various places including a homeless women's shelter and a seniors home to brighten up the day with their beauty.

Roses were also placed in Lullaby and Baby Land to honor all the Lost Children of Forest Lawn.

This year, Michael's humanitarian legacy is being even further honored via OneRose4MJJ's gesture of roses by our greatest and most respected advocates among the MJ fan community.

For every 1,000 roses purchased by fans, MJJJustice Project, Stop Global Airwave Abuse, Michael Jackson Fans of Montreal, and MJ Fans of NY have decided to pledge to the three selected charities OneRose4MJJ supports year round: UNICEF, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, and the American Vitiligo Research Foundation. Taking One Rose for Michael and using it to pay it forward and provide a childhood of hope for those in need.

We encourage anybody, group or individual who would like to join in this major gesture of paying it forward to visit MJJJustice Project's page for further details: With a Child's Heart 2013-Tribute to Michael Jackson.

Updated: 4/25/20013: Another pledge has been made by yet another loving, fellow MJ fan. Please welcome Debbii Longshaw.

Thank you to the wonderful group of ladies who inspired this tribute and who continue to inspire others to join.

OneRose4MJJ Supports Open Letter to Media: Diane Dimond

Dear Worldwide Media,

Michael Jackson's fans are more than displeased with your choice of the "expert" special commentator for the Jacksons v. AEG Live trial, Ms. Diane Dimond.  As you are aware, the duty of a journalist is to seek the truth by providing a fair and comprehensive account of an event or issue.  Professional integrity is the cornerstone of a journalist's credibility.

Ms. Diamond's lack of professional integrity is precisely what has marred her credibility. Michael Jackson himself filed a lawsuit for $100 million against Diane Dimond, for releasing a story that the Los Angeles District Attorney was reopening the 1993 child molestation case after a sex tape was found involving Jackson and his accuser.  The DA immediately denied the story. The story was completely false.

This is only one example of the clear bias Ms. Dimond holds against Michael Jackson.  As you are well aware, journalists are not required to report their own opinion, but rather to report the truth to the public.  Over a span of 20 years, Ms. Dimond has ridden on the coattails of Mr. Jackson, in the name of "fair and truthful" journalism.  Nothing could be further from the truth. Even in 2012, three years after Jackson's death, when Jerry Sandusky was convicted of multiple child molestation counts, Ms. Dimond again refers to Michael Jackson as a pedophile, although he was acquitted of all charges.

We, the below signed Michael Jackson fans, respectfully request that only fair, unbiased and credible journalists are allowed to qualify as special commentators on the Jacksons v. AEG Live trial on CNN.  If you continue to use Diane Dimond as an "expert" on Michael Jackson, we plan on boycotting CNN, resulting in the loss of millions in viewership and subsequent advertising dollars.

Sincerely,

OneRose4MJJ
